Max Wallace
Membership & Marketing Director
Max grew up in the Seattle area for most of his life and his dad was the one who introduced him to golf and he can remember him taking him golfing with his friends and that was always special for him. He eventually needed a change of scenery from the wet and grey that Seattle is famously known for and wound up in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. Max attended a specialized golf school and obtained his Bachelor's degree in Golf Course Management. After school, He moved to Flagstaff in 2012 and was fortunate to be hired at Flagstaff Ranch and immediately fell in love with this place. He worked as an Assistant Golf Professional and decided to take a break from the golf industry after a few years and try something new. In February of 2020, He was hired as Flagstaff Ranch's new Membership & Marketing Director. His biggest passion in life is archery elk hunting and chasing bugling bulls in the woods in September. He also enjoys dirt biking and exploring the forests of Flagstaff.

Chad Blubaum
Assistant Golf Professional
Chad was born and raised in the great state of
Alaska and he grew up in a small logging community. Where he's from, it literally rains everyday! he tells folks he grew up with a fishing pole and rubber boots.
Growing up, he played many sports such as basketball, baseball, ran cross-country, but golf was nonexistent due to his location. The closest golf course was roughly 500 miles
away. His father was an avid golfer, but he wasn’t introduced
until he moved to Idaho to attend college at Lewis Clark State College. He's a self-taught golfer who read countless books along with
a plethora of golf publications to develop his own game. Chad has lived in Arizona for the past 22 years and has worked at
some of the greatest golf courses Arizona has to offer including Forest Highlands, TPC Scottsdale and now entering his third season at Flagstaff Ranch.

Dan DeVere
Director of Agronomy
Dan's first job was a night waterman at Tucson National Golf Club. His summers were spent working on golf courses in North Carolina and Washington state while he was in college. After graduating from the University of Arizona in 1981, he moved to Seattle to be a foreman at Sahalee Golf Club. After a year, he came back to Arizona to be the Assistant Golf course Superintendent at Paradise Valley Country Club. After a few years, he was hired by the City of Phoenix at the ripe old age of 26, to manage the maintenance at Encanto Golf Course. Gary Panks called him about 4 years later to grow in, then manage the maintenance at Silver Creek Golf Club in the White Mountains. It was at Silver Creek where he became a Certified Golf Course Superintendent. Seven Years later, an opportunity to move to Flagstaff presented itself to start the Flagstaff Golf Maintenance Company managing the maintenance of Aspen Valley Golf Club and what was then known as Elden Hills Golf Course, later to be renamed Continental Country Club. In 2000, Jimmy Mehen called him and asked if he would be willing to discuss being the owners' rep for the construction of Flagstaff Ranch Golf Club and the rest is history. He was hired to oversee the construction of Flagstaff Ranch until 2008. From there, he moved to Payson to become the Agronomist for the Rim Club and Chaparral Pines Golf Club. Since his family still lived in Flagstaff, he came back and went to work for a local landscaper for 6 years until the Board of Directors contacted me and asked if he would be willing to apply for the Superintendent position that had recently opened up. He says this with confidence, this is the best golfing community in Flagstaff and we have the best golf course and membership.

Buckle
Dan's Pup
Buckle was born in North Carolina in February 2016. She spent a lot
of time on a farm full of kids and lots of other dogs. They had fun all day every
day, playing together and eventually chasing ducks all over the farm. The family
that trained them to chase geese were really nice, but boy were they strict. They
made them practice every day. When she was a little over a year and a half, they
sent her off to a golf course in Indiana where she spent 2 months chasing geese
off a golf course.
After that, she went back home to North Carolina. She stayed
there for about a month, then in March of 2018, they sent her off to some far away
place in Arizona where she met Dan. It was an interesting trip to Arizona, but it
was well worth it. Flagstaff Ranch is her home now and it was
really fun to chase the geese off the golf course her first year here. So, now in the winter, she chases geese and in the summer, she chases ducks. The crew treats her great and the members are
really friendly. She's very happy to be at Flagstaff Ranch. She just needs more
geese to chase.
